Artist Statement

My work as a graphic designer is a symphony of precision and creativity, blended with a playful attitude. My passion for bold, vibrant colors and captivating shapes is essential in my creative process. In a world filled with visual noise, I construct distinctive identities through minimalism and geometry on a digital canvas. I specialize in creating cohesive visuals that not only catch your eye but also tell a story. My goal is not only to make things look beautiful but to make them work beautifully. Behind the aesthetics, there is a narrative that shapes a body of work.

A lot of my inspiration comes from the designs of silkscreen artists in their use of color, layers of information, and inclusion of pop culture. As an Asian-American, I also admire Asian art which often displays a beautiful balance of expressive colors, repeated patterns, and nature motifs. I am motivated to create cheerful designs that can act as a mood booster for myself and others. I enjoy the process of creating harmony with consistent colors and shapes. When I struggle to find the words, design allows me to communicate through imagery.
