This book cover was made in collaboration with the author Cassandra Ulrich. The two crystal swans illustrated are meant to represent a critical point in the book. Their necks are intertwined to evoke the romance of the main characters in the story. Additionally, a bright glow surrounds the swans, showing the power and significance of their connection. In the illustration, I present my interpretation of the various movements of light and shadow on a crystal figure. The varying line weights are meant to emphasize the fragility of the sculpture.
